Rules
Purpose and Intent
The MasterKarts.US Series ("Series") provides a racing platform for adult racers and is focused on providing a level playing field for competitive and fun racing. The Series is not an official club class but is subject to track time and placement by Badger Kart Club (BKC), Road America Karting Club (RAKC), or any other host facility. The Series is a limited racing series of six (6) events for the 2024 competition season.
Membership
Participants are required to be MasterKarts.US members to accumulate Series points. All participants are encouraged to hold current memberships at host clubs or tracks. Membership supports the facilities that allow us to race and typically affords members a discount on race-day or practice fees.
The cost of a 2024 Series membership is $50.00. Membership fees are applied to administrative expenses to promote the Series.
Age Requirement
Participants must be eligible for the RAKC 206 Masters class. Participants must be 35 years of age by May 1, 2024. Participants age 34 must have approval from RAKC (RAKC rule 3.2).
Race Day Procedures
Participants will enter a designated class at the host track. Series participants will share track time with non-members entered in the host's class. Race day procedures will be as per the host club rules and procedures. For 2024, members will enter BKC 206 Senior Heavy or RAKC 206 Masters and will follow the host club procedures for those classes.
New Racers
The Series welcomes racers new to karting. Those new to karting should follow the procedures for new racers at the host club. Typically, this means placing an "X" on the rear bumper and starting at the rear of the field for a minimum of three races.
Kart and Sponsor Identification
Series participants are requried to display the current year Series decal on the front of their kart.

Other Regulations
Series participants must comply with all other host club/facility rules and regulations. Violations of host facility rules may result in Series penalties including, but not limited to, disqualification, loss of championship points, suspension, or explusion from the Series.
Rain Outs
If both heat races or qualifying and pre-final have been completed and the final/feature is not run due to weather or other conditions, feature points will be awarded based on the drivers starting position. In the event fewer than two of the day's race events are complete, the race day will be sceduled for a rain date specified at the beginning of the season. For a second or subsequent rain out, or a rain out of the rain date, drivers who have entered at the host track will receive 75 points.
DNF (Did Not Finish) and DNS (Did Not Start)
Points are awarded in finishing order. Karts that do not finish are awarded points based on distance completed behind all karts that completed the advertised distance. Karts that did not start are awarded points based on grid position behind all those who started the race. Drivers must take the green flag in one of the day's race events to receive daily points.
Series Points
Of the six races, a driver's best five daily totals count toward their season points. Points for each day are totalled from qualifying, heat races, pre-final, and final/feature as listed in the tables below. A maximum of 95 points are possible each day. All drivers who take the green flag in at least one daily event will receive a minimum of 5 points per event, or 15 total points per race day.

Drivers receive one point for each position gained in each of the day's events. The highest total at the end of the season will receive the Andrea Crivello THE Racing Agent Track Real Estate Challenge trophy. Positions gained are relative to a driver's starting position. A driver who loses two positions, but makes three passes for a net gain of one position will receive one point. A driver who has a net loss of positions will receive zero points.
Ties in Point Standings
In case of a tie in either season championship points or in The Racing Agent Track Real Estate Challenge points, tie breakers shall be finishing order: most wins in final/feature events, most second place finishes in final/feature events, etc. If a tie exists after feature events, the tie breaker will be second heat or pre-final results. If a tie still exists, the tie breaker will be qualifying or first-heat results.
